Welcome to My photography section. Photography is a hobby of mine and always has been. I briefly studied photography at college but gave it up for other pursuits. Just recently I have got back into photography in a big way.

I got my first digital camera in 1999, it was a Fuji 1.2 mega pixel camera, It fell off of the back of a lorry apparently and I got it for a knockdown price! I had this camera before I had a computer, so I had to put all of the pictures I took onto my friends computer and transfer them to floppy disk!

I acquired my second digital camera in 2000, it came along in a most peculiar way! I was driving along over a bridge and I saw this black wallet like thing get tossed from a car window, it landed in the middle of the road and I pulled over to see what it was, I picked it up seconds before it was about to get squashed! I got it back to my car and opened the case to find another Fuji digital camera, this one was about 3 megapixels I think! I could not believe my luck!

I then started to use camera phones for a long time, as the phone went everywhere with me!.

It was in 2005 I decided that I think it is time to get a decent high quality digital camera, I did some research and decided I wanted the Sony P200 7.2 megapixel camera. Wayne got it for me for my birthday.

I was lucky enough to have Daisy by then so i had a subject that was great to photograph, also we were taking Daisy all sorts of interesting places so this re kindled my love of photography.

After a year or so, I decided the little compact sony just did not give me enough flexibility to be creative, so I decided it was time to get a digital SLR. It was christmas 2006 and Wayne got me the Sony alpha A100 Digital SLR.

I immediately fell in love with the camera, it wasn't long before I got a long 300mm zoom lens! I have taken some stunning shots with this camera, It does not have the great reputation as the cannons or the nikons, but I stand by it, I think it is a wonderful camera.
